Qualified as an Architect in 1998 Ciara has worked in both England and Ireland in various areas including High End Residential, Hotels, interior architecture, Sustainable Design and Urban Design as well as the Affordable housing, office and Education sectors.

During her almost 13 years at PDP London , latterly as Partner, Ciara led numerous high end residential developments as well as strategic masterplans and zero carbon schemes.

Ciara led the team that gained consent for a complex enabling development site for the RBHT, running across a number of sites between the Kings Road and the Fulham road, with its centre piece, the Chelsea Farmers market.

Ciara also led the the residential component of Phase 3 of the Duke of York’s Square which was completed in 2008 and CAPCO’s 1-9 Lillie RD.
At another end of the market, Dolphin Living’s landmark key-worker project, One Church Square, was completed in 2013, and this marked a number of years designing and delivering a series of low and zero carbon schemes, including the competition winning Killynure Road, Carryduff. This was to be N Ireland’s first zero carbon Code 5 compliant housing scheme.

Ciara was a founding member of the office’s ‘green group’ that was focused on creating a practice specialism and ensuring sustainability became integral in all PD+P ‘s design which culminated in the successful AJ award for Sustainable Practice of the year in 2012.

She is passionate about ensuring that clear design intent is integrated into the design from inception to the detailing.

Ciara has been an external examiner at Westminster University’s RIBA Part III Professional Exams as well as The South Bank University and has also been involved with Brighton Part III.
